A brief history about Sam Foti and The MONY Group Inc.

The MONY Group Inc. is a financial services holding company offering a wide variety of life insurance, mutual funds products as well as annuities to corporations, institutions and individuals. The company has Sam Foti as its President and Chief Operating Officer who is responsible for operational, finance and sales functions within The MONY Group.

In the year 1988, MONY appointed Samuel J. Foti as the National Director of Agency Operations. The former Vice President of The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company made his way up the ladder by being promoted to Executive Vice President of the Insurance Operations in just three years time. However, his growth did not stop there just yet as in another three years time he was promoted to the position he now holds in The MONY Group Inc. Alongside his personal accomplishments, the company itself has grown from being a private company to a publicly-owned firm.  Samuel Foti  played a key role in its demutualization process and in the July of 2004 finally saw the merger between MONY and AXA Financial Inc., one of the premier U.S. providers of financial protection and wealth management.

Characteristics of Team Work Communication

Teams are developed for the purpose of achieving a company goal. Not all teams perform great, but that doesn’t mean that the members of those teams are not valuable. There might be a good many issues, so it is the responsibility of the team leader to find where the problem lies.

 

In most teams a common problem that members face is the issue of communication. To resolve this matter there should be focus on the characteristics of teamwork communication. The following are some guidelines to follow to facilitate good communication among team members:

 

·    In teams all team members should be fully encouraged to speak openly about their ideas and make decisions on consensus.

·    If team members are having a disagreement on some issue, then they need to deal with that problem in a positive manner to make an appropriate and pragmatic decision.

·    All team members should share responsibilities to give an extraordinary result. Team communication enables team members need to achieve a defined task with fewer resources.

·    All members must know about the company’s goals and objectives before starting team work and should strive try to align their activities accordingly.

 

Effective communication is necessary for the betterment of team collaboration.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Business Franchise

There is a big franchise opportunity nowadays in the market for the people to own their own franchise and become bosses of their own. By owning a franchise, they can practice business and offer services in a way that have never been offered before. There are a majority of people around the world who want to be bosses and do not like to work under any person. For such people, it is a great opportunity to become bosses. Franchise is opened in a marketplace that is much protected, and they offer services that completely revolutionize the market. However, the business franchise has some advantages and disadvantages, also. Some of the advantages include expansion of the business, legal consideration, and operational considerations. These are some of the advantages for the franchisors; there are some advantages for the franchisees too. These advantages are quick start, expansion and training.

 

On the other side, there are disadvantages of the franchisors; i.e. limited pool of viable franchisees and control. Disadvantages of the franchisees include control, price, conflicts, and some of the legal aspects.  While getting a franchise of any company, these points should be considered while making the decision. Every person that has franchise opportunities should follow certain rules that are often called the “Franchise Code of Conduct”.
